The Department of Theater and Dance offers two opportunities to acquire an academic minor--one in THEATER and one in DANCE.

The Minor in Theater consists of a minimum of 18 credit hours, to include:

THTR 1561, Stagecraft

THTR 2668,  Acting 1: Fundamentals

 

Two Theater Production Courses (6 hrs), taken from:

THTR 3761, Makeup

THTR 3762, Directing 1

THTR 3769, Costume Design

THTR 3763, Scene Design

THTR 3765, Lighting Design

 

One Theater Support Course, taken from:

THTR 4891, Theater History before 1700

THTR 4860, Theater History after 1700

 

The Minor in DANCE consists of a minimum of 23 credit hrs, to include:

All of These (19-20 hours)

DNCE1541, Modern Dance 2

DNCE 1542, Dance Composition

DNCE 1570, Tap and Jazz 1

DNCE 1571, Tap and Jazz 2

DNCE 1572, Ballet 1

DNCE 1573, Ballet 2

DNCE 2698, Survey of Dance

THTR 3791, Rehearsal and Performance

 

DNCE 4892, Pedagogy of Dance Technique

                                  or

DNCE  3767, Choreography for Musical Theater
