Biography of Instructor David Gill

I'm David Gill and I have lived most of my life in Illinois. I completed a BFA in Painting in 1989 at the University of Illinois. Later, I returned there to complete an MA in art Education before teaching four years of public high school and elementary art. I am currently in the dissertation completion phase of an EdD in Curriculum and Instruction specializing in art education from Northern Illinois University. My dissertation examines learning in a high school art class studying 3-D computer animation.

I have been active in service to the art education community through presentations at national and state conferences. I have a recent article in publication detailing my field research for my dissertation. It will appear in the Marilyn Zurmuehlen Working Papers in Art Education series. I also enjoy sailing and hiking.
