Biography of Professor Al Bright
Al Bright graduated
from Youngstown State University in 1964 with a BFA degree in art education.
He earned his MA degree in painting from Kent State
in 1965
and has been teaching at Youngstown State University ever since.
Al Bright has exhibited
his works throughout the country and has produced more than 50 one-man exhibitions
including , the Butler Institute of American
Art, Stanford University, Southwest Missouri State University, Florida
Presbyterian College, the Canton Art Institute, the Akron Art Museum, Northeastern
Universtiy,
Amherst College, and Central State University. Al's works are also held
in numerous permanent collections and many private collections throughout the
country such as Canton Art Institute, NewYork City, Yowngstown State
University,
Paul Jenkins, the George Duke collection, and the Jim Brown collection,
Hollywood, California.
